Marriage, Sonder Rind parish register, page 65. Thomas Sorensen Hvam of Rind is 32 years old and marries Maren Christensdatter from Rind who is 26 years old. They are married September 28, 1823. The witness Christen Jensen of Rind is probably her father.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 67. A baby boy born to Thomas Sorensen and Maren Christensdatter is listed under the "stillborn" section of the register in 1825. I do not know the cause of death or if the infant was born alive. The date on the far right column in March 6.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 50. Soren Thomas is born March 29, 1826. His parents are listed as being from Vindum overgaard Mark.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 6. Kjerstine Marie Thomasdatter is born October 26, 1829. She was presented to the church January 10, 1830.

1834 Vindum parish census, page 20. Thomas is 43, Maren is 36, Soren is 7, and Kirsten Marie is 4. They are the last family on the page. Thomas is a "small land holder living on his plot."

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 26. Gjedske Thomasdatter is born August 5, 1834. She is the fourth child born to Thomas and Maren.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 13. Bodil Christine Thomassen is born August 13, 1839 and is the last child born to Thomas and Maren. Witnesses were Herman Sorensen Hvam and a Chr? Sorensen Hvam---I think these two are Thomas's brothers.

1840 Vindum parish census, page 3. The tenth family in Vindum Bye is Thomas Sorensen Hvam, age 52, and Maren, age 42. Soren is 14, Kirsten Marie is 11, Gedske is 6, and Bodill is 1.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 256. Bodil Christine Thomassen dies April 28, 1842 and is buried May 5. Her birthdate is listed as August 13, 1839. She was 2 years, 8 months and 2 days. Her parents are from Vindum overgaard Mark.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 258. Kjirstine Marie Thomasdatter dies June 9, 1844 and is buried June 23. She was 15 years old. No cause of death is noted.

1845 Vindum parish census, page 15. Thomas is 56, Maren is 48. Soren is 19 and Gjedske is 11. Here we learn that Maren is from Rind parish (this helped me find their wedding record in the Sonder Rind parish as most couples seem to get married in the brides parish).

1850 Vindum parish register, page 6. Thomas is 61, Maren is 51, and Soren is 24, while Gjedske is 16. It looks like the family has moved to Faarup Bye as they are the first family listed under this village.

1855 Vindum parish census, page 6. Thomas is 65, Maren is 56, Soren is 30 and unmarried, and Gedske is 21 and unmarried as well.

1860 Vindum parish census, page 14. Thomas, age 71, and Maren, age 62 have moved back to Vindum and are living with their oldest living child Soren Thomassen Hvam, age 34. Soren has married a Maren Pedersen who is 28 years old and who was born in Vindum parish, putting her birth year around 1838.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 32. Thomas Sorensen (Hvam) dies October 3, 1861 and is buried October 9. His wife is still living and the record states he lived in Faarup Mark. He was 73 years old.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 60. Maren Christensdatter dies August 28, 1866 and is buried September 5. She was a widow of Thomas Sorensen Hvam of Faarup. She was 66 years old.
