Soren Andersen Hvam and Geadske Hermansdatter's Children

1801 Vindum Census, page 10: Soren Hvam and family are #9 in the list from Vindum Bye (Village). Soren is 36 and Gedska is 33. Soren is a tenant farmer. Thomas is 12, Herman is 7, Anders is 6, and Chresten is 1 years old. Herman and Ane, Gedska's parents are living with them with ages listed as 66 and 64 respectively. Soren and Gedska had 6 more children than what is listed in this census as I will document with the following pages.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 107: Tomas is born or christened 15 p trinit or September 20, 1789. He is the son of Soren Hvam of Vindum. He was christened in the church suggesting he was a healthy baby. Another date "Sep 9" is listed...I am not sure what this is in reference to.
Confirmation, Vindum parish register, page 163. Tomas is confirmed in 1805. He is #9 on the list. The confirmation records are essential in helping me determine if a child lived past childhood as most children were confirmed around the age of 15.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 113. Anders is born or christened April 25, 1791 to Soren Hvam. Another date is March 30, 1791 within the paragraph. Several witnesses, all from Vindum, are noted.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 128: Anders, the second child of Soren and Geadksa, passes away on May 4, 1794. His age is three years and one month. He is the top entry on the page.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 121: The last entry of the page details the birth or christening of Soren Hvam's third son Herman. I believe the entry is March 23, 1793.

Confirmation, Vindum parish register, page 176: Soren Hvam's Herman of Vindum is confirmed in 1808. He is entry number 1 in the section.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 133: Soren Hvam has a fourth child Anders, a boy who is christened on 21 p trinit, 1795 (October 25). I think his birthdate is October 23. He is given the same name of his older brother who passed away. Witnesses are Peder Christensen, Chirsten Olesen of Mammen, Christen ? of ?, and Soren ? of Vindum. I have not found his confirmation record but he is listed on the 1801 census as being 6 years old.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 139: Ane Kierstine is born or christened on November 12, 1797 (I think the entry is 22 p trinit). November 12 is noted within the paragraph. Witnesses all came from Vindum.

Death, Vindum parish register, page 140. Ane Kierstine dies at the age of 15 days which would put her death at November 27, 1797.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 145: Ane Kirstine is born May 12, 1799 and carries the same name as her sister who preceded her in death. Unfortunately the next entry indicates her death and burial. I think she lived 2 days and died.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 149. Christen is born July 13, 1800 and christened 9 p Trinit or August 10, 1800.

Confirmation, Vindum parish register, page 69. Christen is confirmed in 1814. He is the first entry on the page. His parents are Soren Hvam and Gjesdke Hermansdatter of Vindum. He is 13 and 3/4 years old.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 156: Peder is born to Soren Hvam of Vindum on March 27, 1803.
Confirmation, Vindum parish register, page 73: Peder Sorensen is confirmed in 1818. His parents are Soren Andersen Hvam and Gjaedske Hermansdatter. He is 15 years old.

Birth and Death, Vindum parish register, page 162: Maren is born on March 29, 1805 to Soren Hvam of Vindum. The birth entry is followed several entries down by her death on April 11, 1805 at the age of 13 days.

Birth, Vindum parish register, page 174: Lars is born or christened on December 13, 1807 (3 Sondag i Advent).
Death, Vindum parish register, page 178: Lars passes away or is buried on September 18, 1808. He was 10 months old. He was the last child born to Soren and Geadske.
