The twins of Jens Jensen and Ane Sophie Jensen

Birth, Hvorslev parish register, page 57.  Twins Severine Kirstine Jensen and Rasmine Jensen are born July 2, 1877 to Jens Jensen and Ane Sofie Jensen of Amstrup.  Ane Sofie was 44 years old.  

Confirmation, Hvorslev parish register, page 113.  Severine Kirstine and Rasmine are confirmed October 4, 1891.  The girls are found in the 1880 and 1890 census with their parents.  Severine is living with her brother Anton and his family in the 1901 Hvorslev census.  She then lives with Jens Aagaard and his family in all the censuses until her death in 1936.  Rasmine is not found in the 1901 census with any family member but she is living with her brother Jens Aagaard in every census after until her death in 1928.  

Hvorslev parish register, page 199.  Rasmine Jensen passes away October 3, 1928 at the Sindssyge Anstalt in Viborg and is buried October 9, in Hvorslev.  As best I can tell Sindssyge means "lunatic" and "anstalt" means institution.  I do not know what mental illness she had but the record tells us she was an unmarried daughter of Jens Jensen and Ane Sofie Jense of Amstrup.  She was 51 years old.  

 Death, Hvorslev parish register, page 207.  Severine Kirstine passes away July 11, 1936.  I think she went by Kirstine as in one census that part of her name is underlined.  She is buried July 15.  The first words on the 1st column in the second page are "Aandssvag Pige" and Aandssvag means "stupid" and Pige means "girl."  She is the brother to Jens Jensen Aagaard and was the daughter of Jens Jensen and Ane Sophie Jensen of Amstrup.
