Inger Marie Pedersdatter: First Child of Peder Sorensen and Maren Jensdatter

Birth, Thorsted parish register, Ringkobing county, page 5. Lauridts Tovt (Christensen) born July 26, 1823 to parents to Christen Bentsen and Anne Kirstine Andersdatter. Ringkobing county was just west of Viborg county. This is Inger Marie's husband and born 7 years earlier than her.

Birth, Vium Parish register, page 30. Inger Marie Pedersdatter born March 30, 1830 to Peder Sorensen and Maren Jensdatter of Vium. Witnesses are hard to read but one is Gregers Fredicksen.

Departure, Elsborg parish register, page 197. Inger Marie is 18 and her father is listed as Peder Hermansen. This document helped Scott and I figure out that Peder changed his last name from Sorensen to Hermansen. She is going to Bjorning parish.

Departure, Elsborg parish register, page 199. Inger Marie is leaving Elsborg once again at the age of 21 and going to Sahl parish.

Marriage, Elsborg parish register, page 175. Lauritz Christensen born in Thorsted July 26, 1823 marries Inger Marie of Elsborg born March 30, 1830. Peder Hermansen is of Elsborg and Anders Christensen of Sorlsev (?) are the witnesses. They are married June 20, 1852.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 93. Marie Laustsen born August 22, 1853, first child of Inger Marie and Laust Christensen of Vindelbek village.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 116. Christen Laustensen born January 12, 1855. Chirstened in the church April 9, 1855.

1855 Elsborg parish census, page 17. Laust is 32, Inger Marie is 25. They have Maren (this must be Marie) age 2, and an unbaptized child under the age of 1 (Christen) living with them. Laust is a tenant farmer.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 103. Ane Kirstine Laursen born June 17, 1856. Christened in the church September 7, 1856. She is carried by Ane Marie Poulsen from Viborg which is Inger Marie's brothers wife.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 111. Petrine Laursen born December 6, 1857 and Christened at home December 22, 1857 likely because she was sick and not expected to live.

Death, Elsborg parish register, page 131. Petrine passes away April 28, 1858 and is buried May 2, 1858. She was 20 weeks old at the time of her death. The right hand column may give us a clue about the cause of death.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 30. Birth of Petrine Laursen on March 3, 1859, named after her sister her died after only 20 weeks. Christened April 21, 1859 at the church.

1860 Elsborg parish census, page 5. Laurs is 37, Inger Marie is 30. Living with them are Marie, age 7, Christen, age 6, Ane Christine, age 4, and Petrine age 1. On the same page near the bottom is Peder Hermansen age 54, and Maren Jensdatter age 60.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 33. Kirsten Marie Laustsen born January 29, 1861 and christened February 16, 1861 at home. Inger Marie was 32. It is noted the child dies and was not presented in the church.

Death, Elsborg parish register, page 132. Death of Kirstin Marie Lausten on February 17, 1861. Buried February 24. She was 3 weeks old.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 10. Peder Laursen born December 22, 1864 and christened in the church May 29, 1864. Peder Hermansen and Maren Jensdatter are listed as witnesses.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 38. Baby girl born March 18, 1866 but died or was stillborn on that day. Death Elsborg parish register, page 133. Death of the baby girl recorded March 18, 1866 and buried on the 29th of March.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 14. Martin Laursen born August 16, 1867 and christened in the church October 27 of that year.

Birth, Elsborg parish register, page 23. Carl Laursen born March 1, 1872 and christened at home on April 9 of that year. It appears the child dies before it is presented in the church.

Death, Elsborg parish register, page 126. Laurs Christensen Toft dies October 19, 1873 and is buried on October 24. He was 50 years old and born in Thorsted parish. Laurs name varied in teh many different vital recordings. His death name is the name I will use in new family search and have given all of his children the last name of Laursen. Also noted on this document is the 10th and last son of Inger Marie and Laurs who is the first name on the top of the page, named Carl Laursen who passes away on April 10, 1872, just 1 1/2 months after he was born. I have yet to find Inger Maries death documentation. I assume she moved in with one of her 6 living children.
