Soren Ramsussen: First child of Rasmus Johansen

Birth, Hvorslev parish register, page 7. Soren Rasmussen is born February 8, 1815. He was the first child born to Rasmus Johansen and Ellen Marie Pedersdatter and was born out of wedlock. Of note he is the only Soren Rasmussen born in Hvorslev five years previous or after.

Birth, Lee parish register, page 16. Inger Jensdatter is born to Jens Nielsen and...no name is written for the mother. She was born February 27, 1825 and christened March 2, 1825. I mention this record becuase the mother is Marie Kirstine Sorensdatter as shown by later census's. Marie Kirstine Sorensdatter eventually marries Soren Rasmussen after her husband Jens Nielsen passes away in 1844. I have not found the marriage record of Marie Kirstine and Jens Nielsen but have looked in the Lee, Mammen, and Bjerring registers.

1834 Bjerring parish census, page 3. Jens Nielsen Rytter is 42 (b. 1792), his wife Marie Kirstine Sorensdatter is 32 (b. 1802). They have a 13 year old foster child, Maren Nielsdatter, and one child Inger Jensdatter, age 9. In other census's I have found her and her birthplace is Lee parish.

1840 Bjerring parish census, page 10. Jens is 48, Marie Kirstine is 39, and Inger is 15.

Birth, Bjerring parish register, page 73. Birthe Marie Jensdatter is born April 18, 1843. Jens and Marie Kirstine did not have many children or surviving children. This was the last born to them and would precede Jen's death by 1 year.

Death, Bjerring parish register, page 234. Jens Nielsen Rytter dies April 7, 1844 and is buried April 15. A cause of death is listed but I do not know what it says. He was 52 years old.

Marriage, Mammen parish register, page 174. Soren Rasmussen, age 29, marries the widow Marie Kirstine Sorensdatter of Mammen parish, age 42, on December 3, 1844.

1845 Mammen parish census, page 16. Family #75 in the census is Soren Rasmussen, age 30, and his wife Marie Kirstine Sorensdatter, age 43. They have one child living with them, Birth Marie Jensdatter, age 2 born in Bjerring parish. Soren's birthplace is Hvorslev and he is a weaver. Marie Kirstine was born in Mammen parish. I can find no other link to Soren and the family he was born into throughout his records, but as I stated before, there is only one Soren Rasmussen born in Hvorslev from 1810-1820 and his family were all weavers.

Birth, Mammen parish register, page 121. Rasmus Sorensen is born February 20, 1846. Marie Kirstine was 44 years old at the time.

Birth, Mammen parish register, page 8. Jens Sorensen is born January 31, 1850 and is the last child born to Soren and Marie Kirstine who was 48 years old. Jens was christened April 14. Witnesses were Inger Jensdatter from Darstrup (this is Marie Kirstine's first child).

1850 Mammen parish census, page 2. Soren is 35, Marie Kirstine is 48, Birth Marie Jensdatter is 7, Rasmus is 4, and Jens is 1. I cannot find the death records for Soren or Marie Kirstine after this.
