1890 Skaeve Census, page 106. Niels is 48, Maren is 47.  Karl is 8, Inger is 7, Doris is 5.  

Jensine Marie Larsdatter: 3rd Daughter of Lars Jensen (Brother of Christen Jensen)

Marriage, Horby parish register, page 177.  Vitus Bering, 30 years and Jensine Marie Larsdatter, 26 years marry on February 22, 1860.  This was the first marriage for both.  

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 30.  The first name on the page is Jensine Marie's husband Vitus Bering born May 31, 1829.  His father was Henrik Bering and mother was Anne Cathrine.

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 117.  Henriette Bering is born July 23, 1860.  The family is living in Gammelhum?

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 5.  Carl Albert Bering is born January 9, 1864.  He is the second child.

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 60.  Helmina Petrine Bering is born December 15, 1866.  The family lives in Gammelholm.

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 20.  Harald August Bering is born July 23, 1869.  He would be the last child born to the couple.

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 87.  Berta Petrine Pedersen is born to the unmarried Henriette Bering of Gammelholm.  The father is the unmarried man Jens Pedersen of Horselvmark.  Present are Vitus Bering and his wife.  Henriette is 18.

 1880 Horby parish census, page 3.  Vithus is 50, Jensine Marie is 45.  Henriette is 20, Helmine Petrine Bering is 13.  Carl is 16 and Harald is 10.  Bertha Petrine Pedersen is 2.  Also listed is an Anthon Marinus Pedersen who is unbaptized and I assume is a son to Henriette and Jens Pedersen even though they are not married.

 1890 Horby parish census, page 23.  Vitus is 61, Vilhelmine Petrine is 23, Berta Petrine Pedersen is 11.

 1890 Horby parish census, page 24.  In the list of those outside the parish when the census was taken in 1890 was Jensine Marie, age 55 of Gammelholm.

 Death, Horby parish register, page 232.  Vitus Bering passes away on June 3, 1898.  He was the son of ? Bering and Anne Katrine Pedersen of Gammelholm.  His wife is Jensine Marie Larsen.  He was 69 years old.

Death, Horby parish register, page 266.  Jensine Marie Bering (born Larsdatter) dies July 18, 1923 in Flade, Horns County and is buried July 23 in Horby.  She was a widow of Vitus Bering.  Born in Horby February 20, 1834, daughter of Lars Jensen and Marie Jensdatter.  She was 89 years old.

Kirsten Larsdatter: Oldest daughter to Lars Jensen (Lena Nelson's paternal great uncle--Brother of Christen Jensen)

 Marriage, Horby parish register, page 171.  Niels Christensen, age 33, farmer in Br?dmole marries Kirsten Larsdatter, age 24, on December 15, 1853.  Present on Lars Jensen and Jens Christensen.

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 41.  Christen Nielsen is born May 27, 1855 to Niels and Kirstine of Bredmole.  I think Lars Jensen (father) from Kjon and Inger Larsdatter (sister) are present.

 Birth, Horby parish register, page 113.  Maren Nielsen is born May 14, 1859.  Lars Jensen of Kjon? is present.  I can only find two births for the couple in the parish register through 1880.

 1860 Horby parish census, page 14.  Niels Christensen is 40 (Horby parish).  Kirsten Larsdatter is 31, Christen is 5, and Maren is 1.

 1870 Horby parish census, page 7.  Niels Christensen is 50, Kirsten is 40.  Christen is 14 and Maren is not on the list.  I could not find a death record for her through 1870.  Maybe she was away working.  She would have been 11 at the time.
